Coupe des 4 2025 : #Fierdenotredreamteam
On Tuesday, November 11th, La Boulie, Saint-Nom, Saint-Cloud and Saint-Germain met for the final round of this year’s Coupe des 4, in a highly tense atmosphere. After the first two days, all four clubs were perfectly tied, meaning every scenario was still possible.
Everything had started extremely well for us with a superb 6–3 victory against the defending champions, Saint-Nom, on Saturday on the Vallée course. Sunday’s fog, however, dampened our momentum, with four of our teams unfortunately losing between holes 17 and 19 in a 6–3 defeat to Saint-Cloud on the Forêt course. Despite this setback, we remained ahead in the tiebreak thanks to the determination of our teams going into the final.
For 42 years, victory has escaped us… but on this Tuesday morning, everything was still possible, and our dream team arrived exceptionally well trained and highly motivated to face La Boulie at Saint-Nom.
Saint-Germain completed its mission with style, delivering a convincing 6–3 win on the Rouge course against La Boulie. All attention then turned, with some anxiety, toward the Saint-Nom vs. Saint-Cloud match. On paper, Saint-Nom had the advantage of playing at home with the support of their members, but believe it or not, many supporters from our club were also present, and our red and blue colours stood out around the greens.
Tension reached its peak when the last match of our opponents went to a playoff. Unfortunately, Saint-Nom defeated Saint-Cloud 7–2 and won by a single tiebreak point… and once again the trophy slipped away, this time by a hair.
Frustrating, yes, but we are far from losing spirit. Our players, our teams, our substitutes, our caddies, and our supporters who followed us on the course throughout the three days — or on the WhatsApp group (more than 130 members) — were outstanding, not forgetting Basile, our photographer Gilles Laurent, and our President. Thanks to all of you, we collectively created an extraordinary atmosphere, a victory of its own kind.
We believed, we fought… we did not win, but what an incredible experience. We will come back stronger for the 2026 edition, and you can already save the dates of November 7, 8 and 11, 2026.
PS: A big bravo and respect to all our MVPs: Louise de la Chaise, Tom Auvray (3/3 wins), Caroline Prince, Louis Perrot, Mathieu Darmont, Pierre Huon (2/2 wins), and all our players — Charles, Thomas, Rafaël, Adèle, Anita, Perrine, Marion, Constance, Juliette, Guillaume, Mans, Patrik, Antoine, Olivier, Thomas, Catherine, Caroline, Marie-Valérie, Shaheen, Elise, Kim, David, Guillaume, Arthur, Guilhem, Joël, Priscilla, Raphaëlle, Benoît and Matthieu — for this fantastic season.
We are proud of our dream team. Long live the Coupe des 4, and long live Saint-Germain.
Your devoted captains,
Séverine and Jean-David
